The border guards Bangladesh (BGB) personnel in Moheshpur had seized huge contra banned Indian Phensedyl syrup on Saturday morning. 3,191 bottles of the consignment contra banned brought from neighboring India were seized from Belemath area under the bordering upazila without any owner, said the BGB sources.
BGB 58 battalion director Lieutenant Colonel Masud Parvez said a contingent of the BGB personnel led by BGB assistant director Saiful Islam had conducted rives at Belemath area in the early hours of Saturday. They seized the contra banned Indian Phensedyl syrup without any owner. The same was left in bags for sending the consignments at different areas of the country.
They had filed a case with bordering Moheshpur police station in this connection, the BGB official said.
