Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive on Friday recovered huge quantities of firearms, ammunition, drone, signal Jammer and electronic equipment from bordering Dopanichara deep
forest area.
Based on information BGB conducted the raid in the Dopanichara border area under Ruma upzila here, a BGB press release said.
Commander of BGB’s Ruma Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Hasibul Huq led the operation.
The BGB team identified a terrorist camp during their raid and recovered the firearms, explosives and other equipment from there.
The recovered weapons include- two automatic carbine assault rifle, one semi-automatic assault rifle, three single barrel Breach Loading (SBBL) firearm, 21 round fresh bullets, a modern technology drone, one modern technology signal Jammer, one audio-video recorder, one video camera, one modern intelligence button camera, a device hidden video recorder, a binocular, two Walkie-talkies, one laptop, two powerful light, one solar system, one sky tv receiver, one umbrella, two android mobile, two button mobile, and various equipments including local made sharp weapons.
During the anti-terrorist drive, the BGB team also destroyed observation post, trench, temporary armory, rest house and kitchen used by the terrorist group inside the forest.
