Members of Chaudanga-6 Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) conducted two separate drives in Chuadanga district on Tuesday and seized 386 bottles of Indian phensedyl at that time.
The members of Border Guard Bangladesh conducted two anti-smuggling drives on Tuesday noon and seized the phensedyl bottles.
The matter was confirmed in a press release on Tuesday afternoon.
Commander of Chaudanga-6 Border Guard Bangladesh, Syed Mohammad Jahidur Rahman (PSC), said in the press release that Mujibnagar BOP Patrol Commander Habildar Md Rafiqul Islam, under Chuadanga-6 Border Guard Bangladesh, conducted a special anti-smuggling drive with his force on Tuesday morning. The anti-smuggling drive was conducted at Shonapur Math inside Bangladesh, 50 gauges away from main border pillar 107. They were able to seize 286 bottles of Indian phensedyl at that time.
On the other hand, Darshana BOP Patrol Commander Nayek Md Ziaur Rahman conducted an anti-smuggling drive with his force on Tuesday noon. The drive was conducted at a mango garden in Joynagar village inside Bangladesh, 250 guage away from main border pillar 77/8-s. They were able to seize 100 bottles of Indian phensedyl at that time.
He also said the 386 bottles of Indian Fencidil that were seized will be destroyed in accordance with the regulations after the completion of legal proceedings.
