Bangladesh Coast Guard (BGB) personnel at a check post in Teknaf arrested two passengers with large stash of money and an easy bike. One of the arrestees is a Rohingya citizen.
BGB officials in a press briefing said that the arrestees were carrying a total of Tk 12,70,000. The money was suspected to be used for Yaba pills transections.
Lieutenant Colonel of Teknaf-2 BGB Battalion Mohammad Faisal Hasan Khan said that BGB personnel of Damdamia Check Post on Wednesday evening stopped an auto rickshaw. After conducting a thorough search, 7 bundles of Bangladeshi currency was seized under the driver’s seat. After primary interrogation, the driver confessed that the money belongs to the passenger, who is a Rohingya citizen.
After checking the papers, it hasbeen found that the arrestee Rohingya is NajimUllah from Noyapara 26th Rohinga camp C-block.
