BGB arrests 4 for returning from India illegally

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members in Moheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah have arrested four Bangladeshi nationals when they were allegedly returning from neighboring India illegally. 

The border guard personnel arrested them from a field at village Matila under Moheshpur upazila on Friday morning.

The arrestees were identified as Raju Kismat Mollah, 30, of Jamrildanga, his wife Raju Fatema Mollah, 27, Nazma Molla, 35, and his eight year old daughter Asiya of Kalia upazila in Narail.  

BGB 58 battalion assistant director (AD) Nazrul Islam Khan quoting the battalion director Lieutenant Colonel Qamrul Ahsan said they had conducted a drive in the early hours of Friday when the four were attempting to enter into Bangladesh territory without any valid papers.

The arrestees were handed over to Moheshpur police station after filing a case in this regard, the BGB official said.
