BFRI and the US Forest Service say BFRI will play a role in enhancing the technical capacity of newly hired researchers, proper use of forest resources, and improvement of biodiversity.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Bangladesh Forest Research Institute (BFRI) and US Forest Service / International Program at the BFRI Auditorium on Thursday.
The MoU was exchanged by Dr. Rafiqul Haider, Director, BFRI and Dr. Abu Mustafa Kamal Uddin, Project Lead, Compass Program. Relevant officials were present at the time. With the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, BFRI will enhance the technical capacity of researchers, including newly appointed research officers. Cooperation will be enhanced between the two organizations in organizing and participating in various national and international workshops, conferences, seminars including joint research on forest.
The MoU will play a helpful role in increasing the production of forest resources and conserving biodiversity in Bangladesh through joint research in forest and environment protection.
