The second Namaz e Janaza of freedom fighter Akbar Hossain Pathan Farooque held at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) on Tuesday. Before this, his body was kept at Central Shaheed Minar for people from all walks of life to pay their respects. People across the cultural arena, political divide, eminent citizens and general masses poured their final respect to their renowned actor.
On Wednesday at 1:50 PM, the second Janaza of the deceased was conducted in the premises of FDC’s Zaheer Raihan VIP projection. The khatib of the mosque of FDC led the funeral prayers.
Kazi Hayat, Dipjal, Alamgir, Misha Saudagar, Omar Sani, Rubel, Nirab, Ferdous and other leaders and workers of Bangladesh Film Journalists Association and various film related organizations participated in the funeral prayers of this famous actor and politician. The Secretary of the Ministry of Information was present at this time.
After the funeral at FDC, Farooque's body will be taken to Channel I premises. Then it will be taken to Azad Mosque in Gulshan. After the funeral, the body will be taken to Farooque’s birthplace, Kaliganj, Gazipur.
The legendary actor will be buried at around 5 pm there next to his father’s grave in the family graveyard.
