Professor Dr Peter Bossier of Ghent University, Belgium called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman on Tuesday.
DU Fisheries Department Chairperson Professor Dr Md Golam Rabbane, Professor Dr Md Ghulam Mustafa, Professor Dr Md Raknuzzaman and Associate Professor Dr Mohammad Shamsur Rahman were present on the occasion at VC’s office on the campus.
During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of further strengthening ongoing joint collaborative academic and research programmes on aquaculture and fisheries between the University of Dhaka and Ghent University, Belgium.
Earlier, Professor Dr Peter Bossier delivered two separate lectures on “Microbial Community Management in Aquaculture” and “Health Management in Aquaculture” at the Department of Fisheries of DU.
