Newly-appointed Cox's Bazar Superintendent of Police Md. Hasanuzzaman inaugurated a Beat Policing Office in Uttar Nuniarchhara area in Cox's Bazar town on Monday afternoon.
At the time he said, "Some conscious citizens along with the police should come forward to maintain peace and order in the area. The perpetrators cannot have any other identity.
The new Superintendent of police said no type of offender would be released, adding that Cox's Bazar district police has started working with new initiative.
Cox's Bazar district Awami League General Secretary and municipal mayor Mojibur Rahman in his speech as the special guest said it is the duty of conscious citizens to cooperate with police and Beat Policing will create a bridge between people and the police.
Cox's Bazar Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Kaisarul Haque Jewel said,
"If the people are aware, the terrorists will not get any more opportunities”. The people's representative called for freeing the area from terrorism.
