BCL to hold mammoth student gathering Sept 1

The Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) will take an oath in the largest student gathering ever on September 1, to present Sheikh Hasina with 'absolute victory' in the upcoming national elections.

This announcement was made by the organization's president Saddam Hossain and general secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan, Dhaka University branch president MazharulKabirShayan, general secretary Tanveer Hasan Saikat and leaders of the Central Committee of Bangladesh Chhatra League in a press conference held at Madhur Canteen of Dhaka University on Saturday (August 26) morning. 

Saddam Hossain read the written statement at the press conference, which said that Bangladesh Chhatra League's all-out preparations are underway to make the biggest student gathering a success. 

In the gathering, the organization will take an oath to give absolute victory to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the upcoming national elections. 127 coordination teams have been formed under the leadership of central leaders. Through this, student friends from all over the country will be welcomed in an orderly manner at the student assembly. 

For this purpose, a preparatory meeting of the Central Executive Council was held on August 10 and a special extended meeting was held on August 18. 

BCL leaders and activists are campaigning day and night in every district, every upazila, every union, every village about Sheikh Hasina's student gathering on September 1. "From this student gathering, students will take an oath to give Sheikh Hasina absolute victory in the upcoming parliamentary elections." 

The Chhatra League president also said in the press conference that five lakh student friends and representatives of the young generation will be present at the September 1 gathering. 

Dhaka Metropolitan North Chhatra League President Riaz Mahmud, General Secretary Sagar Ahmed Shamim, South President Rajibul Islam Bappi and General Secretary SajalKund also were present in the press conference.
