BCL expels its RU leader Tonmoy

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) expelled Mushfiq Tahmid Tonmoy, the organizing secretary of BCL, Rajshahi University unit due to his involvement in proxy in university admission test. A press release signed by BCL Central Committee President Al Nahiyan Khan Joy and General Secretary Lekhak Bhattacharjee on Thursday night said this.

The release says, "According to the decision of the Bangladesh Chhatra League Central Executive Council, it is being informed that Md. Mushfiq Tahmid Tonmoy, organizing secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League, Rajshahi University unit has been expelled from Bangladesh Chhatra League for his involvement in anti-discipline activities."

According to university sources, on July 26, four people were arrested while giving proxy in the admission test of 'A' unit of Rajshahi University. Later, the mobile court sentenced them to one year imprisonment. In addition, the name of the mastermind of the fraud gang Tonmoy, came out when an arrested person named Bayezid Khan was interrogated in police custody. According to him, Mushfiq Tahmeed Tonmoy, organizing secretary of RU unit hired them to give proxy.
