BCL establishes school for underprivileged children

Jhenaidah district unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) inaugurated a child school titled ‘Bangabandhu Shishu Sikkhalaya’ in Jhenaidah on the occasion of the 73rd founding anniversary of the organisation. 

Aiming at providing basic education for the under privileged and dropped out children, the school was inaugurated at Beparipara in the district town on Monday.

Presided over by Jhenaidah district unit president of BCL Rana Hamid, MP from of Jhenaidah-2 constituency and president of the district Awami League Jhenaidah Abdyl Hyee attended as the chief guest. Mayor of Jhenaidah municipality Saidul Karim Mintu and Juba League joint convener Shafiqul Islam Shimul spoke on the occasion, among others. BCL district unit general secretary Abdul Awal conducted the inaugural session.

Abdul Hyee, MP, in his speech said the Father of the Nation Banganabddhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had loved the children very much. 

He had dreamed for the wellbeing of the children as they were the future citizens to run the nation for a better livable world. They should be provided basic, moral and ethical education so that they could be enriched with patriotism.

The chief guest and other guests distributed books and other educational materials among the learners of the school. The school will remain open in the morning and afternoon as desired by the learners, BCL leaders said.
