The 73rd founding anniversary of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of the ruling Awami League, was observed at Jahangirnagar University on Monday in a joyous manner.
On the occasion, JU Chhatra League hoisted the national flag and Chhatra League flag in front of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall and placed a floral wreath on Bangabandhu's portrait on the campus.
Later, they brought out a colourful procession from in front of the Bangabandhu Hall. After circling different roads on the campus, the procession ended with a brief rally at Shaheed Minar premises and the leaders cut a cake.
JU Chhatra League vice-president Mijanur Rahman and Azizur Rahman Lilu, Bayezid Rana Collins, joint secretary Affan Hossain Apon, deputy office secretary M Mynul Hossin Rajon, organizing secretary Aklima Akter Esha, theatre and debate secretary Raton Biswas, liberation war affairs secretary Alam Sheikh, deputy library and literature secretary Shahrukh Shahriar, deputy foreign affairs secretary Ismail Hossain, assistant secretary Habibur Rahman Liton were present in the programme, among others.
