Bangladesh Coast Guard seized 585 bottles of foreign liquor at Teknaf St Martin in Cox's Bazar. On Saturday morning, BCG station Saint Martin seized these drugs by carrying out raids in Cheradwip, Saint Martin. However, they could not arrest anyone in this incident.
Lieutenant Commander Abdur Rahman, media officer of the Coast Guard Headquarters, gave this information on Saturday afternoon.
He said, 'On Saturday morning, based on secret information, BCG station St. Martin conducted a special operation in the Keya Forest area adjacent to Cheradwip. Meanwhile, 35 abandoned sacks were found hidden in a fancy way in the Kaya forest. The sacks were searched and 585 bottles of foreign liquor were seized. No one could be arrested as illegal foreign liquor smugglers were not present at the spot.'
He further said, 'The seized foreign liquor has been handed over to Teknaf Model Police Station for further legal action.'
