The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is set to appoint former national team chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu as the Chief Coordination of Programmes to ensure the quality of the various development schemes involved in uplifting the cricket.
As a result Nannu will be working under the head of programmes David Moore and will oversee the planning, devising strategies, and implementation of the High Performance Unit [HP] and Bangladesh Tigers that would eventually provide benefits to the national team.
“I heard about the news, however, it is yet to be official. But so far, I know Nannu would be appointed for the role shortly,” said the BCB official.
Following the ninth executive committee meeting on February 12, Youth & Sports Minister and BCB President Nazmul Hasan appointed Gazi Ashraf Hossain and Hannan Sarkar as the chief selector and selector, replacing Nannu and Habibul Bashar Sumon. The newly appointed selection committee is due to commence their two-year tenure on March 1.
