Freedom Fighter Md. Belayet Hossain, Senior Deputy Managing Director of Bashundhara Group, died at Evercare Hospital on Wednesday morning. He had been suffering from kidney complications for a long time.
Md. Belayet Hossain joined Bashundhara Group in its inception in 1989 and has successfully held various important positions. He is survived by his wife, three daughters and numerous friends and admirers. He has made significant contribution to the overall development of Bashundhara Group for over 30 years.
Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan has expressed deep grief over his death. In a condolence message, he said, "Belayet Hossain's death is an irreparable loss for us which will not be easily met.
His contribution to Bashundhara Group will never be forgotten. I am deeply saddened by the loss of such a close friend and colleague. I seek the forgiveness of his soul and extend my deepest condolences to his bereaved family”.
Md. Belayet Hossain was born in January 1950 in Barura of Cumilla to an aristocratic family.
