Appreciating Bangladeshi expatriate workers, Italian Charge d’affaires Mattia Ventura said that a large number of Bangladeshi workers are working in Italy.
Bangladeshi workers are so skilled that Bangladeshi workers will dominate the shipbuilding industry in Italy. Hence the visa process for Bangladeshi workers in Italy has been simplified.

CCC Mayor said that Chattogram being the commercial capital of Bangladesh, Italy can take the huge opportunities of industrialization here. In particular, the Prime Minister is reforming the infrastructure sector of the entire city to expand the
commercial potential of Chattogram and through some projects, the capacity of the city and port has been increased. Italy could benefit financially by exploiting this improved infrastructure.
Italian Charge d'affaires said that attracted by the recent economic success of Bangladesh, Italy is interested in investing heavily in Bangladesh. Especially in terms of export of leather products to the European Union, Bangladeshi leather products are not able to create a good position in Europe by not meeting the environmental criteria, although a large amount of leather is produced in Bangladesh every year.
Italy is considering investing in Bangladesh to expand the huge market of Italian leather products in the world, which will diversify investment in Bangladesh and benefit Italy as well. In terms of relations with Bangladesh, Italy wants to advance not only Dhaka but also Chattogram.
