Bangladesh U19 secure win in third ODI

Bangladesh U19 secured a four wicket win against Pakistan U19 in the third ODI at Shahid Kamruzzaman Stadium(SKS), Rajshahi on Thursday.

Opener Adil bin Siddik top scored with 36 runs to help Bangladesh chase down the mediocre target of 155 runs in 26 overs at ease.

Mazharul Islam and Jishan Alam played brief innings of 21 and 24 runs respectively. Then Shihab James hit an anchoring knock of 27 runs off 25 deliveries with five boundaries.

Aimal Khan was the pick of the bowling attack as he took a couple of wickets conceding 36 runs in seven overs to trouble Bangladesh.

Earlier, Bangladesh bowlers rattled Pakistan batting order as Rohanat Doullah and Iqbal Hasan Emon each scalped three after opting to field first.

The pacer duo removed both the openers within the first powerplay. The bowlers did not allow the visitors to form a big partnership as Pakistan’s top-order were crushed and slumped to 54-5. 

Then Mirza Saad Baig and Arafat Hasan Minhas stitched together a 43-run partnership for the sixth wicket which propelled the side to cross the 100-run mark. Saad scored the highest 35 runs for Pakistan and Arahafat contributed 28.

Ali Asfand was unbeaten on 27 but Pakistan were wrapped up on 154-10 in 41.4 overs. Apart from Rohanat and Emon, Sheikh Paevej Jibon picked up a couple of wickets for the winning side.
