The world animated films now has a market of USD 300 billion, a significant part of which can be earned by the youths of our country. The ICT department is setting up 40 university-level animation labs and providing training to about 16,000 people.
State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak came up with the assertion after the technical show of the film ‘Mujib Amar Pita’ at the Star Cineplex in Bashundhara City on Sunday.
The state minister said, “And this film proved that there is no shortage of talent in Bangladesh. As a result, we will establish Bangladesh as an animation film hub to the world. The animated film will be opened to over-the-top platforms and then internet platforms.
He expressed his hope and said that the future youth of the country would be interested in this.
It was informed that the film, which has been made for two years, had to draw 30,000 frames. About Taka two crore was spent for making the film.
Zunaid Ahmed Palak said, “E-commerce is growing in the country. It is now one of the most important sectors in the country. The amount of investment in this sector is much higher now. So, we want this sector to be more developed.”
He also said, “Work has been started to set up another software technology park in Karwan Bazar to meet the huge demand for space in the software technology park of IT companies and to build a suitable branding ecosystem. Startups are improving. From there we need to go further and these labs will be set up for this purpose, so that the students become particularly proficient.”
The film's coordinator and CRI coordinator Tanmoy Ahmed, director Sohail Mohammad Rana and Star Cineplex chairman Mahbub Rahman Ruel also spoke at the press conference.
