State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat, reiterated the country's steadfast support for the oppressed people of Palestine. The minister condemned the Israeli occupation of Gaza, labeling it as genocide, and highlighted Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s unwavering stance on the matter.
During the interview with Qatar-based media Al Jazeera Arabic, Arafat emphasized the need for global intervention to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, asserting that the people of Palestine are enduring barbaric killings and being deprived of their basic rights.
He called on the Muslim Ummah to unite in condemning the ongoing atrocities and to present the truth to the world.
The state minister’s comments come in the wake of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's recent participation in the Munich Security Conference, where she unequivocally labeled the situation in the Gaza Strip as genocide. The Prime Minister urged world leaders to take immediate steps to ensure humanitarian access to Gaza, end the illegal occupation, and enforce a
ceasefire.
Arafat stressed that the crisis in Gaza transcends religious, national, and ethnic boundaries, representing a failure of humanity. He called for a unified effort to stop the carnage and present the truth to the world, urging against divisive statements and debates.
