In a bid to retain the title of the SAFF Women’s Football Championship, Bangladesh will kick off their campaign today with taking Pakistan at the Dasharat Stadium, Kathmundo.
Sabina & Co are tempted by the prospect of winning the SAFF Women's Championship trophy to repeat the history, they made in the same ground in Kathmandu in September 2022.
Right after two years, they are going to take the challenges of almost same opponents, they faces last year.
Bangladesh women earned the feat of winning the SAFF title for the first time in 2022 just outcassing the favourites India and Nepal, who have long tradition of women football.
This time also Bangaldesh have the fierce India in their group when they will face off the top favourites and the six timechampions of the tournament on On October 23.
However, Bangladesh women, who will face feuding Pakistan, a bloated squad, are in intense pressure to drag out of their depression, as their expectations are to determine their authority as the defending champions.
Bangladesh’s need an impressive start but will face face a stern test, as Pakistan despite suffering 2-5 defeat at the hands of India in their opening match when it would be do or die encounter for Pakistan to stay on contention after suffering defat in tehior first match.
Bangladesh also will have to win the match to confirme the semiofinal berth before their tough match against India.
