Bangladesh’s verdict on DCEU’s new Black Adam

Black Adam, the 11th movie in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), topped the International Box office managing the highest opening weekend as the first movie in the franchise's Phase One. Although the critic's comments haven't favoured the movie quite well, the International audience, including Bangladesh, says otherwise.

The PG-13 rated "Black Adam", a $200-million bid by Warner Bros, scored an estimated $67 million opening weekend, the highest since "Thor: Love and Thunder" debuted with $143 million in July. The standalone project was initially planned to launch as a villain in 2019's 'Shazam!' before arriving as a Black Adam in the DCEU. Audiences say the critics might have gone too harsh on the Shazam! (2019) sequel earning 39% on Rotten Tomatoes(as of Now) while achieving a 7.1 out of ten on IMDB as the moviegoers found it substantially more enjoyable. According to the Bangladeshi audience, it is a very action-packed movie with considerably more action than any other superhero project this year, including stunning VFX additions. The film also reportedly included quality comedy, notably the scenes with Atom Smasher, which were comedy gold. He seemingly stole the limelight whenever he was on screen.

The Bangladeshi DC fans also seem to be better at judging Dwane Jhonsonson's first superHero project praising its cast and characters, especially Dr. Fate, played by Pierce Brosnan. He displayed great prowess and potential in the movie, stealing the fan favourite position beside Hawkman and the protagonist, Black Adam. Speaking of Black Adam, Dwane Jhonsonson dropped an absolute baller of a performance showing the massive effort put into the film. This was further signified by the celebration of Jeff Goldstein, distribution chief for Warner Bros. He reportedly called it a personal best for Johnson outside the "Fast & Furious franchise".

According to the early reviewers, all the characters were exciting, with unique traits and an overall decent storyline. Although the movie follows the classic superhero film formula similar to Marvel, it performed its job of entertaining the audience quite well. However, some feel the movie lacked in the department of explanation and could've done a better job displaying the character's in-depth past, primarily the origin of the Justice Society of America (JSA). As a result, this left many to speculate and scratch their heads after watching the marvellous scenes. This also left the hardcore Dc fans to flex their knowledge of comics to develop widely obscure theories.

For now, almost everyone agrees that the movie is a sure fun time with action-packed scenes. As for the future, following the wake of success, the NewYork-based studio envies Marvel Level success and domination on Box office and is set to pursue the series with "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" in March next year. Moreover, Johnson has been quite ambitious about his desire to follow up 'Black Adam' with a showdown with Superman. But it remains to be seen whether the 'Black Adam' receipts are enough to guarantee for it is at the mercy of the International audience.
