The Executive Committee of Barishal University Journalists Association (BUJA) has been formed for the year 2022-23. In this, The Bangladesh Post correspondent Wabidur Rahman were elected president and daily Naya Shatabdi correspondent Sabbir Ahmed general secretary.
Yesterday from 10 am to 2 pm, the Barishal University Journalists Association elections were held on the 2nd floor of TSC of the university.
Out of total 24 voters, 23 exercised their right to vote. The Election Commission announced the results at 4 pm.
Other members of the new committee are - Vice-President-Sohel Rana (Daily Campus), Joint-General Secretary- Imrul Kayes (Dhaka Prakash), Organizing Secretary- Masum Mahmud ( Daily Share Biz), Office, Publicity and Publication Secretary- Imdadul Islam (Daily Amar Sanbad), Treasurer- Zakir Hossain (Campus Live 24) and Executive Member-1, 2,3,4 respectively Shahidul Islam (News Guardian 24), Siddiqur Rahman (Prabhat Barta), Md Zahid Hossain (Daily Motbad), Asib Hasan (Bangladesh Barta).
Shafiqul Islam former president of BUJA was chief election commissioner Nabir Hossain former organizing Secretary and Abu Bakar Siddique Shoaib former vice president were election commissioners in the elections.
