Ebadat Hossain, father of the daily Bangladesh Post Assistant Editor SM Mizanur Rahman, passed away at a city hospital on Friday morning. He was 87.
Family sources said he breathed his last at 7:15 am at National Heart Institute in the capital.
His son Mizanur Rahman said he had been suffering from multiple old-age complications for long time.
He is survived by his wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
He was buried at a family graveyard at South Jogania Village in Kalia Upazila of Narail after Asar prayer.
His death has cast a shadow of mourning in the South Jogania Village.
