The tri-annual conference of Bangladesh Farmers League Shiloy Union Branch has been held. This conference of the Farmers League was held at Shilai area adjacent to Purbo Rakhi Dighirpar Bazar on Friday at three o'clock in the afternoon. Mohammad Mohsin Makhan, president of Munshiganj District Farmers League and member of the Central Committee of Bangladesh Farmers League was present as the chief guest in the conference. Sadar Upazila Farmers' League President Md Pier Hossain inaugurated the conference.
Former District Chhatra League President Advocate Golam Mawla Tapan spoke as the main speaker moderated by Abul Dhali, Joint Convener of Shilai Union Farmers League. The conference was presided over by Ali Azgar Sardar, convener of Shilai Union Krishak League.
Sadar Upazila Farmers League Joint General Secretary Haji Sheikh Moniruddin Khosru spoke as a special speaker.

In the speech of the chief guest Md. Mohsin Makhan, president of Munshiganj District Farmers' League, said that the present government is a farmer-friendly government. This government has given different types of bank accounts for the development of farmers.
Munshiganj district is a major agricultural region. Where potato is the main crop. Also, paddy jute and other crops are produced here. Farmers of Munshiganj have no shortage of fertilizers for crop production. They get fertilizer on time.
