Guangzhou Malisha Edu Co., Ltd. recently organised one of the largest global education conferences in Guangzhou City, P.R. China, with the primary objective of bringing together delegates from various countries.
The aim was to showcase the progress of Chinese universities in the education and research sectors and to establish a platform for bilateral collaboration, admission processes, and scholarship opportunities at Chinese universities.
The conference attracted participation from more than 40 reputable Chinese universities, representatives from six countries' embassies and consulates, officials from eight countries' ministries of education and local governments, over 50 overseas universities and educational institutes, and more than 100 international delegates. Among the notable Chinese universities present were Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), South China University of Technology (SCUT), Yangzhou University (YZU), and others.
International delegates from over 30 countries, including Bangladesh, Thailand, Indonesia, Laos, Ethiopia, Kenya, Angola, Mozambique, Morocco, and others, attended the conference. Distinguished figures such as the Education Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya, Innocent Aloyce Mogunde, the First Secretary of the People's Republic of Mozambique, Teles Alfredo Macobe, and Deputy Director of Ministry of Education (OBEC) Thailand, Thapanut Udomsree, were present. The conference also saw the participation of notable figures from Bangladesh, including the Private Secretary of the Education Minister, Abu Ali Md. Shazzad Hossain, and Deputy Director of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, Dr. Md. Fakhrul Islam.
On the first day, the Chairman of MalishaEdu, Engr. Sheikh Korban Ali, along with six other guests, officially inaugurated the program. Engr. Sheikh Korban Ali emphasized the global presentation of Chinese education and expressed pride in showcasing Bangladesh and its culture to the world. Dr. Md. Fakhrul Islam presented insights into the Bangladeshi education system and underscored the importance of studying in China for Bangladeshi students.
Furthermore, agreements were signed between Tianjin University, Northeast Forestry University, Chengdu Normal University, and the Belt and Road Chinese Center (BRCC) to provide more opportunities for international students to learn the Chinese language and culture. During one-to-one collaboration discussions, international delegates gained a comprehensive understanding of the admission and scholarship policies of Chinese universities. Many Chinese universities also established bilateral collaborations with international educational institutes.
The Managing Director of MalishaEdu, Prof. Dr. Maruf Mollah, delivered the closing speech and announced an international education expo in 2024, including Bangladesh. He expressed optimism that through this education conference, more international education institutions and students would become aware of the opportunities and facilities offered by Chinese education.
