The High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Mauritius, Zokey Ahad, paid a courtesy visit to HE Maneesh Gobin, Attorney General and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration, and International Trade of Mauritius, on Wednesday.
The meeting, held at the Minister's office, was attended by First Secretary (Political) Md Jahangir Alam, First Secretary (Labour) Md Asaduzzaman, and senior officials from Mauritius. The discussions encompassed various bilateral interests between both nations.
According to a press release signed by First Secretary Md Jahangir Alam, the Minister warmly welcomed the High Commissioner, and both expressed satisfaction with the strong bilateral relations. The High Commissioner thanked the Minister for the reception.
They deliberated on mutual interests such as high-level visits, trade delegations, visa facilitation, commerce, investment, education, labour issues, and regular migration, aiming to bolster bilateral ties in a cordial environment.
The Minister assured close collaboration with the Bangladesh High Commission to finalise pending MoUs and agreements, emphasising future cooperation prospects.
