Bangladesh Cricket Board have excluded veterans Jahanara Alam and Fargana Hoque, among other changes to their T20I squad, for the upcoming three-match home series against India. The 16-member squad announced sees the return of experienced spinner Salma Khatun, Bangladesh's leading wicket-taker in T20Is, who had been rested for the Sri Lanka series.
Jahanara, the fourth highest wicket-taker for Bangladesh in the shortest format, featured in just one of the three T20Is in Sri Lanka.
The hosts have also included uncapped opening batter Shathi Rani, rewarded for her 254-run tally, at an average of 50.80 and a strike rate of 151.19, in the just-concluded women's premier league.
Hoque, the second best T20I run-getter in the country, has been named among the standbys for the series, alongside two more from the squad that toured Sri Lanka - Lata Mondal and Faria Islam Trishna.
Meanwhile, Dilara Akter and Marufa Akter made a return in the shortest format.
