Bangladesh has strongly condemned the recurrence of Houthi militias' attacks including the latest one deliberately targeting civilian facilities and energy installations in Saudi Arabia on March 25, 2022.
"Bangladesh feels that the repeated regular drone and ballistic missile attacks targeting civilian areas and establishments in Saudi Arabia are a flagrant violation in the face of international law and norms", said a foreign ministry statement received here today.
It said Bangladesh notes with dismay that the Houthis attacks has come ahead of GCC-sponsored peace talks in Riyadh on March 29, 2022.
These unlawful and cowardly acts of terrorism jeopardize the stability of the kingdom and the region, read the statement. Bangladesh reaffirms its firm solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its brotherly people against any threat to its safety and security, it added.
The foreign ministry said Bangladesh also remains steadfastly committed to all efforts for the maintenance of peace and stability in the region.
