Bangladesh Army stand beside homeless Ayesha

A house burnt to ashes during day light in Bandarban. The victim Ayesha Begum (60) is a resident of Kasai Para area of Ward 9 of Bandarban Municipality.

Bandarban Fire Service Station Officer Ismail Hossain confirmed the incident.The incident took place on Saturday in Kasai Para area of Bandarban Sadar Ward 9.

According to local sources, no one was at home at that time. Ayesha Begum’s house was burnt to ashes when the fire started due to an electrical short circuit. 

When the fire service arrived later, they were able to bring the fire under control.

The victim Ayesha Akhter said, I was out. I don't know how the fire started. I had a small house that burned down. My savings have also been burnt. How I will live under open sky. 

Bandarban Fire Service Station Officer Ismail Hossain said that the fire service team reached the spot when the incident took place. 

With the help people we are able to douse the fire and safe nearby homes. 

Following the incident published in newspaper, Bangladesh army came forward and stood by the victim Ayesha Begum. 

Meanwhile, Bandarban Zone Deputy Commander Major SM Mahdul Hasan Sohag and Bandarban Zone Zonal Staff Officer Capt. Mesbahul Islam Fouad visited the spot and provided assistance to Ayesha Begum.
