The Bangladesh Army Bandarban Region provided humanitarian assistance to the Bandarban Army Zone on Monday morning.
During the aid distribution programme, sewing machines, solar panels, agricultural machinery and livestock were provided to 29 poor and distressed families of Bandarban Sadar and Rowangchhari upazila.
Bandarban Army Regional Commander Brigadier General Md Ziaul Haque was present as the chief guest and distributed all these items to the beneficiaries. Zone Commander Lieutenant Colonel Akhtar Us Samad Rafi, other army officials and journalists from print and electronic media were present.

He said the army has been providing humanitarian assistance at various times to improve the quality of life of the backward people besides carrying out operations in the hilly areas.
He expressed hope that this effort would continue in the future to support the poor families living in the remote hills.
