The 'Bangla Kheyal Utshob 2021' to begin for the 8th time in memory of Azad Rahman, the founder and legendary music personality of Bangla Kheyal.
For the first time Channel I has started the festival. But last year, Azad Rahman, one of the organizers of the festival, the entrepreneur of Bangla Kheyal, musician and chairman of the culture center, has migrated to the land of no return.
So, in memory of Azad Rahman 'Bangla Kheyal Utshob' is going to start today 31st January from 5:20 pm and continue till tomorrow morning(1st February) 9 am. The matter was announced at a press conference held at Channel I Bhaban on January 30 at noon.
Director and Head of Channel I Sheikh Siraj, Music Personality and Ustad Karim Shahabuddin, Dr Asit Roy, late Azad Rahman's wife Selina Azad, Professor Dr Nasheed Kamal, Anil Kumar Saha and others.
Sheikh Siraj said, "This year's event is a little different than any other year." Just as our lives have changed this year due to the Corona situation, we have lost many prominent personalities in the last one year. One of them is the late Azad Rahman, the initiator of this Bengali idea. This year, the event will start with all the artists and organizers of the event in his memory. The entire program will be broadcast live on Channel I.
