Vice-Chancellor of the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) Professor Anwarul Azim Arif has said that Bangabandhu’s dream of ‘Sonar Bangla’ will be fulfilled by his daughter and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He said this while speaking at a doa mahfil and discussion held on the campus in Chattogram on Sunday. The International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) arranged the event marking the 77th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The IIUC Vice-Chancellor presided over the event, while IIUC Board of Trustees member and Female Academic Zone Chairman Rizia Reza Chowdhury, BOT member Dr. Md. Shamsuzzaman spoke as special guests.
Professor Anwarul Azim Arif said, Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is determined to build Bangabandhu’s dream of Sonar Bangla. The country is moving towards becoming Smart Bangladesh today under her leadership, he added.
Rizia Reza Chowdhury said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s contribution to the development of Bangladesh will be written in golden letters in the history of the country. Bangladesh today is a role model all over the world and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is today a world leader appreciated all over the world, she added.
Faculty of Science and Engineering Dean Dr. SamimulHaque Chowdhury spoke in it. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the English Literature Department Md CharwarAlam.
Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Prof.Dr.Jahed Hossain Sikder, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia Prof.Dr. Muhammad Mostafa KamilMadani, Registrar AFM Aktaruzzaman Kaiser, Proctor Md. Iftekhar Uddin, TMD Chairman Prof.Dr. Mahi Uddin along with department chairmen, division directors, university teachers-students, officers-employees.
The discussion ended with the cutting of the birthday cake of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
