Bangabandhu’s birthday, Nat’l Children’s Day observed in dists

Jhenaidah District Administration and different government and non-governmental organisations have observed 104th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and national Childrens Day through various programmes on Sunday. Jhenaidah district administration on behalf of the state placed floral wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu at Prerona Ekattor. 

Later district police administration, muktijoddha sangshad, different cultural organizations had place floral wreaths at the portrait. Awami league Jhenaidah district unit brought out a rally from its district office that had paraded the main roads in the town. The day was also observed at upazila levels in the district.

Rajbari Correspondent adds:  Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's 104th birth anniversary and Children's Day was celebrated in Rajbari on Sunday 

On the occasion of the celebration of the day, the programme of the day started with the laying of wreaths on the sculpture of Bangabandhu installed in the Bangabandhu Chatter in the premises of the District Commissioner's office. Railways Minister Bir Muktijodha Md Zillul Hakim, MP and Deputy Commissioner Abu Qaiser Khan presented the wreath.

Cox's Bazar Correspondent reports:  The 104th birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Children's Day was observed in Cox’s Bazar on Sunday. Different programmes including cake cutting, discussion meeting, prize distribution and cultural programmes were held in Cox's Bazar under the theme "Bangabandhu's dream, laughter in everyone's home".

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Shaheen Imran presided over the discussion meeting was  held in Shahid Subhash Hall of Public Library in the morning. Superintendent of Police Md. Mahfuzul Islam, heroic freedom fighter Kamal Hossain Chowdhury, District Child Affairs Officer Ahsanul Haque, Press Club General Secretary Md. Mujibul Islam, educationist Someshwar Chakraborty and others spoke at the meeting.

Later, on the occasion, various events including writing and painting  competitions were organized and prizes were distributed among the competing students and cultural programmes was held .

Madaripur Correspondent  adds: The 104th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was celebrated in Dasar Upazila of Madaripur with various events. 

In the morning, the national flag was hoisted along with the national anthem organized by the upazila administration. Later, a joy rally was held around the main road of the upazila and wreaths were placed on Bangabandhu's portrait. 

Netrakoan Correspondent adds: The 104th  birth anniversary of Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and national children day was observed here as elsewhere across the country in a befitting manner. Netrakona district administration and different socio-cultural organizations, political parties including Awami League (AL), professional groups and educational institutions chalked out various programs to mark the day.

The celebration began in the morning  with placing of floral wreaths at the mural of Bangabandhu at ‘Chetonar Batighor’ on Netrakona district  collectorate  office premises by deputy commissioner Netrakona Shahed Parvez.

Then, chairman of Netrakona zila parishad Asit Kumar Sarker Sazal, police super Netrakona Foyaz Ahmed, mayor of Netrakona municipality Nazrul Islam Khan, general secretary of Netrakona district press club Advocate Habibur Rahman, local public representatives, valiant freedom fighters, political leaders, civil society members placed wreaths on the mural of Bangabandhu there.

As part of the program, a jubilant rally of children was brought out in the district town from the local Muktarpara ground and it ended on the local public hall premises after parading the main roads of the town.

A discussion meeting on “the life and ideals of Bangabandhu” was held at local public hall here under the auspices of the district administration.
