With a view to celebrating the month of victory, district administration arranged a week long Bangabandhu book fair on the premises of the office of the deputy commissioner.
Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration KM Ali Azam virtually inaugurated the fair as the chief guest on Sunday.
Divisional Commissioner of Rajshahi Dr Humayun Kabir also attended the function remotely as the special guest.
The inaugural function was held at the Bangabandhu Manch in front of the deputy commissioner's office with the deputy commissioner Md. Monjurul Hafij in the chair.
Among others, former member of Public Service Commission (PSC) Fazlul Haque, principal of Nawabganj Government College Professor Dr. Shankar Kumar Kundu, additional superintendent of police Mohammad Mahbub Alam Khan and newly elected mayor of Chapainawabganj municipality Mokklesur Rahman spoke on the occasion.A total of 36 stalls have been installed in the fair with the books written on the life, works and contribution of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
