Plants of banana and seeds of vegetables were distributed among 250 poor women at village Dinnathpur in Sadar upazila of Chuadanga district at free of cost under the auspices of Chuadanga Sadar Upazila Agriculture Office on May 4.
According to sources the government has taken a plan to cultivate vegetables and banana on premises of houses at villages by the women. Accordingly Chuadanga Sadar Upazila Agriculture Office distributed banana plants among 200 poor women and seeds of vegetables among 50 women at the village.
Talha Jubayer, agriculture officer, Amirul Islam Rasel, assistant agriculture officer and Sazzad Hossain, SO of agriculture department were present and distributed the plants and seeds to them at the distribution program.
