In 1987 the Bangladesh Musical Bands Association (BAMBA) started its journey with a concert to help the flood victims. Since then, BAMBA is the only band in the country that is still working relentlessly for three long decades and with the same purpose, the organization again organized activities to recruit new members.
On February 7 at the premises of Jamuna Future Park on ‘Yamaha Music Bangladesh’ held a new audition programme to select new members. So that 17 bands from all over the country participated. This audition episode is called ‘Yamaha-BAMBA Jam Session’. Bambara President Hamin Ahmed, Vice President SM AlamTipu (Warphase), General Secretary Shakib Chowdhury (Cryptic Fate), Assistant General Secretary KaziAshekinSaju (Artsell), Koshadhyaksh Ali Sumon(Pentagon) were sitting. The band members of the executive council were also Souls, Dalchhut, Nemesis, Powersurge. This audition episode started from 4 pm and lasted till 8:30 pm.
Earlier, BAMBA invited new members from all over Bangladesh to join the band on January 13 in the New Year. BAMBA received a wide response to this invitation. 85 popular, emerging and new band members from all over the country applied for inclusion. Out of these 85 bands, 17 bands were invited to audition at the premises of Yamaha Music Bangladesh. The 17-band jam session lasted for four and a half hours. In this, 17 bands perform songs of their own genre.
This jam session was held in collaboration with Yamaha Music Bangladesh and in the presence of BAMBA'S current member bands. Before the start of the event, an agreement was signed between BAMBA and Yamaha Music Bangladesh and BAMBA. The agreement will contribute to the overall development of the Bangladesh music industry, said Hamin Ahmed, president of BAMBA.
