Azmeri Haque Badhan is poised to make her mark in Kolkata-based cinema with her upcoming venture. If all goes as planned, filming for her new project will kick off in Kolkata later this month.
Titled "Fair and Ugly," the anthology film marks Badhan's entry into Tollywood under the direction of Prasenjit Biswas.
Badhan, acclaimed for her performance in "Rehana Maryam Noor," stepped into the Indian acting scene with Srijit Mukherji's web series "Robindronath Ekhane Kawkhono Khete Aashenni" (REKKA). Her stellar portrayal in the series earned widespread acclaim.
Building on this success, the National Film Award-winning actress ventured into Hindi cinema, notably starring in the web film "Khufiya," which garnered significant attention last year.
On the other hand, Sunny Sanwar's film "Esha Murder," which stars Azmeri Haque Badhan in the lead role, is scheduled for release on Eid-ul-Azha. She also just finished filming the movie "Master," which is directed by Rezwan Shahriar Sumit.
