Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation (BADC) has won the first place in the National Fruit Fair held on 16-18 June 2022. Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, the fair is attended by organizations under the Ministry of Agriculture and various non-governmental organizations. The fair was inaugurated at the premises of Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) at Khamarbari in the capital. Agriculture Minister Abdur Razzaque, Agriculture Secretary Sayedul Islam and BADC Chairman (Grade-1) AFM Hayatullah, heads of various departments and senior officials of various government and non-government organizations were present on the occasion. A total of 64 stalls showcased a variety of fruits, fruit production techniques and techniques at the fair. The theme of this year's National Fruit Fair was 'Year-round fruit cultivation / money comes from nutrition'.
Like last year, BADC won the first place among the organizations participating in this year's fruit fair in terms of technology exhibition and aesthetics.. Mostafizur Rahman, Member Director (Seeds and Horticulture) received the award from Sayedul Islam, Secretary Agriculture on behalf of BADC.
At the award ceremony, Agriculture Secretary Saidul Islam said that fruits are essential for health protection. Farmers are interested in cultivating fruits as they are economically profitable. The country's ability to earn foreign exchange by exporting fruits abroad is also gradually increasing. At the same time, the Agriculture Secretary requested the participating organizations to be more proactive in increasing the amount of fruit exports by meeting the domestic demand of the country.
