Mehedi Hasan, Commandant of Ansar-VDP of Bogura district, took responsibility of the family of the newly born child Ibrahim.
On Wednesday morning, Mehedi Hasan went to Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital in Bogura and handed over winter clothes, gifts and cash money for the newly born child Ibrahim and his family. He also enquired about the condition of health of the newborn and the mother. He also assured to take step to provide Sakmal, father of the new-born child or his elder son in a job in Ansar-VDP.
Dr. Abdul Wadood, Assistant Director of the hospital, Nasimul Ferdous, Ansar-VDP officer of Sonatola Upazila and Abdur Razzak, Upazila Officer of Sherpur were present during the visit of Mehedi Hasan.
According to sources, Sakmal and his pregnant wife Nabia Khatun (28) of Tentulia village under Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat were returning home from Dhaka through train. On the way Nabia Khatun developed delivery pain and gave birth to a male child on the train near Bogura around 7: 00 am on Monday morning.
Finding the condition of mother and the newly born child critical, passengers of the train deported Sakmal, his wife and the child to Bogura railway station and one passenger named Sagar Mahmud called 999 to help them to admit to the hospital. Responding to the call, fire service personnel rushed to Bogura station and admitted the mother and the child to the Gynae ward of SZRMCH, informed Dr. Abduil Wadud, Assistant Director of SZRMCH. Now, both the mother and the child are well.
Sakmal, father of the newborn child informed, he is a day a labourer and he has three-more children. One of his children will appear at the upcoming SSC examination. Without nay money, he became completely helpless at the time of birth of the child on the train. However, after the birth of the child, many passengers, people and specially, Ansar-VDP Commandant Mehedi Hasan helped him in various ways.
Mehedi Hasan, Ansar-VDP Commandant said, by watching the news in the newspapers, he went to the hospital on Wednesday morning and enquired about the condition of Sakmal and his family. He instantly donated Taka 5,000 to Sakmal and assured to provide a job for Sakmal or his son.
