In a much-anticipated announcement, the Ayub Bachchu Foundation has revealed plans to debut an unreleased song by the late Bangladeshi rock legend, Ayub Bachchu, this Eid. Titled "Inbox," the song is expected to captivate audiences with its contemporary themes and timeless melodies.
Lyricist Niaz Ahmed Aungshu, a close collaborator of Ayub Bachchu, shared insights into the project, expressing excitement about bringing the rock icon's unpublished works to light. Aungshu affirmed, "We have several unpublished songs of Bachchu bhai. Masud of LRB has been entrusted with overseeing these songs, and we plan to release the songs continually from that collection."
Abdullah Al Masud, guitarist of LRB, shed light on the treasure trove of music stored on Ayub Bachchu's hard disk, emphasizing the significance of preserving raw recordings. Masud stated, "Boss has several songs stored on AB Kitchen's hard disk. I have been maintaining it since the recording sessions. It even includes many rough recordings of songs that he requested to be deleted, but I chose to keep them. I believe that these raw vocals hold legendary significance."
The initiative to release Ayub Bachchu's unreleased songs is a collaborative effort between the Ayub Bachchu Foundation and LRB, aiming to perpetuate the rock legend's musical legacy. Masud affirmed, "We are commencing our activities from this year onwards, and we hope to maintain this continuity."
Furthermore, a recent agreement between the Ayub Bachchu Foundation and Asiatic has paved the way for various initiatives, including the release of unreleased songs and the organization of a tribute concert in honor of Ayub Bachchu.
Fans eagerly await the premiere of "Inbox" and look forward to experiencing more of Ayub Bachchu's timeless creations as the foundation continues its mission to preserve his musical legacy.
