Bangladesh Awami Sangskritik Forum (ASAFO), a pro-Awami League cultural platform, has paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Thousands of people under the banner of Awami Sangskritik Forum placed floral wreaths and offered prayer (munajat) at the grave of Bangabandhu at Tungipara in Goplaganj on Thursday (August 31), the last day of the mourning month.
ASAFO’s central committee chairman Saidur Rahman Sajol along with his activists of the organisation placed the floral wreaths and offered munajat.
Saidur Rahman Sajol said that huge activists of Awami Sangskritik Forum with colourful banners and festoons from different parts of the country participated in the event.
In a brief discussion at the graveyard premises, the ASAFO chief said that his organisation was established to spread the spirit and ideology of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The Awami Sangskritik Forum believes that the young generation will go ahead with the spirit of liberation war of 1971 that will help establish a society free from illiteracy, poverty, hunger, superstitious and other odds and establish Bengali culture which Bangabandhu had dreamed.
