When the transport section is running without proper discipline and regulations, some minor transport owners on Shailkupa-Panti local route have been maintaining time with transparency on their schedule for starting the vehicles in time.
The system has regained the confidence on the transport drivers and saving the time of the passengers on the route.
When this correspondent talked to a number of passengers travelling on three wheelers known as easy bikes, was informed that they travel on the minor vehicles from Shailkupa town of Jhenaidah and Panti Bazar of Kumarkhaliupazila of Kushtia district at Taka 30 each.
The 15-kilometer metal road takes about 50 minutes to travel anyway. Ayesha Khatun and Namita Das at Shailkupa said each and every bike starts after just ten minutes. They do not feel bore at all as there is discipline in maintaining time in the travelling.
Some of the drivers said they have to pay a few thousand Taka at minimum four spots for their safety and undisturbed (!) every month.
Bulbul Ahmed, controller of the three wheelers at Shailkupa point, said he has been managing about 25-26 smaller vehicles daily.
Showing the regulatory clock at the stoppage, Bulbul said he does not allow any delay during starting of a vehicle to ensure timely and smooth journey for the passengers.
Regarding social distances during the corona havoc, Bulbul said they always request the passengers to wear masks and sit at a safer distance to protect them from the unknown enemy like corona virus or other i0nfectious diseases.
