Police recovered body of an auto-rickshaw driver from a culvert near to 2nd bypass road in Sabgram Kursha area under Sadar Upazila of Bogura on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Samrat Islam, 37, son of Azizar Mollah, resident of Chamurpara area of the Upazila.
Family members of the victim said Samrat went out with his auto-rickshaw on Saturday morning. When we tried to contact him at the evening someone else received the call on his phone and said it was a wrong number. After that Samrat was untraced.
Bogura Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Saihan Waliullah said Samrat was an auto-rickshaw driver. His auto-rickshaw was not found when we recovered his body. It is assumed that he might have been killed by the miscreants and left in that place. Police have started drive to find the motive of the killing and killers, he added.
