A CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver was killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle on the Hanif Flyover in the capital early Thursday.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
A man named Md Sourav said he saw the auto-rickshaw driver being hit by an unidentified vehicle on the flyover. Later, he took him to the Emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) around 12:20 am where doctors declared him dead.
DMCH Police Outpost in-Charge, Inspector Md Bachchu Mia confirmed the matter.
The body was kept at the DMCH morgue for an autopsy, he added.
