A quarter is trying to create communal unrest in the educational institutions after failing to create an unstable situation in the country. Their attempt will not be successful in any way, said Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni.
“I have observed a few incidents in different parts of the country in recent times. A quarter is making various attempts to create a volatile situation in the country in a pre-planned manner. After failing to create unrest in the country, they are trying to devise some kind of incidents at educational institutions and turning it into a communal issue,” she said.
She made the remarks in response to a question from reporters attending a function organised by the district administration at Chandpur Circuit House on Tuesday afternoon.
She further said, “We are vigilant. The people of our country believe in non-communal spirit.”
Dipu Moni mentioned that people have respect for teachers and requested the teachers to remain vigilant too.
“Appropriate action will be taken if the people in charge of the educational institution are involved in these incidents,” she added.
Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan Majlish, Superintendent of Police Milon Mahmud, Chandpur Municipal Mayor Zillur Rahman Jewel and senior officials of various government departments were present during this time.
