Asif Akbar, a well-known vocalist, and Priyanka Gope, a recipient of a National Film Award, have collaborated on the song "Jokhon Akash Kade," which was penned by Bakiul Alam and arranged by Monowar Hossain Tutul.
This is the first-ever duet by Asif and Priyanka. The song will be released soon on Asif Akbar’s official YouTube channel. Meanwhile, the song is available on the music app Shadhin
Speaking about Priyanka Gope, Asif Akbar said, “Priyanka Gope is an outstanding artiste. When I visited Wikipedia and saw her profile, I gained a lot of respect for her. Even with such a high-profile career, she is a down-to-earth person and also an asset to Bangladesh. Despite living in the same city, we had never crossed paths before.”
“Talking to Priyanka Gope felt like talking to a very special person, as if we had known each other for a long time. While teaching at Dhaka University, she continues to pursue music and manage her family at the same time. She is now my top choice for a slightly heavier, melodic modern song. I hope we will collaborate on many more projects together. Priyanka Gope, you are amazing,” the singer added.
Priyanka Gope said, “Asif Bhai (Asif Akbar) holds the identity of a true superstar of Bangla music. There is no doubt that Asif Akbar was a favorite singer of our generation. However, we finally got the chance to sing together after a long wait. Monowar Hossain Tutul tried to bring out a different side of Asif Akbar in this song through his brilliant composition. I want to sing more songs with Asif Akbar.”
