Law, Justice and Parliament Adviser Asif Nazrul will carry out the financial and administrative duties of the parliament speaker.
Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam announced the decision at a press conference held at the Foreign Service Academy on Thursday, explaining that Asif Nazrul will temporarily oversee these responsibilities due to the vacancy.
He said the Speaker had financial and administrative duties. Now that the post of Speaker is vacant, who will do that job? A decision has been taken in that regard that Law Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul will look into it.
He also said that Asif Nazrul will look after the financial and administrative tasks. Chief Adviser Deputy Press Secretary Apoorba Jahangir was present at this time.
Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury stepped down from the post of the speaker of National Parliament after
the fall of Awami League government. She submitted her resignation letter to President Mohammad Sahabuddin.
