With a career spanning over two decades, Asif has been a prominent figure in the Bangladeshi music industry since his debut in 1998 with the hit track “O Priya Tumi Kothay.” His talent has been recognized with numerous awards, including the prestigious Meril Prothom Alo Award for Best Singer (Male) for five consecutive years from 2001 to 2005.

Asif's latest venture takes him to the vibrant world of Bollywood, where he recently recorded a track at the esteemed KM Studio of AR Rahman and Yash Raj Studio. Impressed by the studio's arrangements and atmosphere, Asif expressed his gratitude and excitement on his official Facebook page. He shared, “My heart overflows with gratitude for making my mark on Bollywood, carrying the pride of Bangladesh on my shoulders. With God's grace and the love that surrounds me, my path stretches endlessly.”

Although the title of the film remains undisclosed, Asif's entry into Bollywood continues a legacy of Bangladeshi singers leaving their mark in Indian cinema. Previously, artists like Runa Laila, Andrew Kishore, James, SD Burman, and more have lent their voices to Bollywood projects. Notably, James, another Bangladeshi sensation, made waves in Bollywood with his playback for the film Gangster in 2005. James continued to collaborate with renowned composers like Pritam, contributing to films like Woh Lamhe and Life in a Metro. His last Bollywood song, "Bebasi," was released in 2013 for the film Warning.
