The 9-day long 32nd Asia Pacific Regional Scout and 11th National Scout Jamboree-2023 has started in Gazipur.
APR and 11th National Scout Jamboree 2023 are going to be held in the Jamboree with the participation of about 950 scout teams.
Scout teams started coming from different districts of the country from early today. Even though there are signs of tiredness on the faces of many people after traveling all night or long day, the environment of the camp and the diverse environment and unique beauty of the nature here are removing their fatigue and depression. They are running towards the tent with bags, bamboo, sticks and tent etc. in their hands and shoulders.
About 11,000 scouts including 8,000 scout members, 1,000 unit leaders and IST members from Asia Pacific region including Bangladesh are participating in this camp. This 9-day jamboree will start on January 19 and continue till January 21.
The entire Scout Jamboree is divided into a total of 4 villages and each village is divided into two sub-camps totaling 8. In this nine-day long camp, there are a total of 20 challenges for the scouts including Tabukla, Hiking Night Hiking and Youth Voyage, Neighborhood, Camp Fire, Sports and Merit.
Scouts will be able to develop their talent, physical, mental, intellectual, spiritual by participating in these challenges.
Local and foreign scouts participating in this jamboree will be blown away by the breathtaking natural scenery of 181 acres of Bangladesh National Training Center, Mouchak. There are forests, various species of plants, chirping of birds, side ponds with beautiful banks and many other natural environments. Besides, Gazipur has Bangabandhu Safari Park, Takshal, Bhawal National Park, 6 public universities, Hi-Tech Park, Isha Khan Junglebari and participating scouts can enrich their five senses by learning about them and observing them in real life. And by enjoying these natural beauties, the scouts will get to know Bangladesh and the thirst for travel will be born.
